Don't worry, I bet that time flies right by! You can always call me and Pabu in to keep you company if you need it. Pretty much plan-free right now. [ And by the time he walks off into the woods to be sad for a couple of days, you'll be back on your feet and won't have to worry about it. Everything works out. ] And boy, do I ever have something exciting! Like, the greatest boon ever, exciting.
[ In his opinion, anyway. Bolin opens the envelope and pulls out one of the photographs inside with a level of delicacy that probably kind of counteracts the energy and excitement he's been vibrating with (he's so not about to risk tearing one of these babies), holding it out towards Kaldur with a big, dumb, sappy smile, like the goob he is. ]
[ It is a beautiful photograph. Something he imagines Sha'lain'a, his mother, keeping on the dresser with himself and Calvin Durham. A family portrait, mother and father and son.
His own family seems so much more fragile in light of it, though Kaldur knows that regardless of whom Black Manta truly is, Calvin is still his father in all the ways that matter. He just wishes that made it easier.
His smile is genuine, if touched by wistful edges. ]
It is a beautiful photograph, Bolin. I am honored that you shared your family with me in this way.
Yeah, that was us way back in the day! Like "I didn't even remember we did this", back in the day. Dad's even got Mako's scarf and everything! [ It's more that Mako took on dad's scarf after he died, but Bolin remembers a lot more of it as Mako's scarf than he does the other way around. Perception is everything. ] So you know, I'm honored to share it! I think my folks are just pretty share-able all around.
[ He knows Sha'lain'a and Cal are proud of him. Black Manta... well, he does not know what to make of that.
But Bolin is strong, and kind, with a heart for others that Kaldur admires. These are the things that show Bolin to be a hero, and he knows that there is no way his parents could not be proud of who their young man grew up to be. ]
[ wEH. Kaldur you jerk you're gonna make him tear up oh there it goes. It's not a full-on cry but excuse him he's just gonna wipe his eye really quick.
Him and his niceness and stuff, jeez. ]
Aww, thanks. You know, you're always saying such nice stuff! [ You stand-up guy. With gills. ]
It's no problem at all. You're practically family anyway. It's just like a little reunion with some people you'll probably never meet anyway! [ Go go gadget penchant for adoptions. The choice is really out of Kaldur's hands, the paperwork's through. ]

[ No shame in crying, or getting something in your eye, either. ]
Again, I wish to thank you for sharing your family with me.
